Clifton’s Charge Conference

This was an excellent charge conference led by Dr. McQueen. Clifton was charged to heed the call of Matthew 9:37-38, remembering that the harvest is plentiful and that God is sending workers to harvest the field. With our goals before us, Clifton let us get to work.

Women’s Day

Join Clifton in our 36th Women’s Day Celebration on October 27, 2024, at 11 a.m. This year’s theme is “Working Under God’s Grace.” God’s grace and favor have been upon us, and we are thankful. The celebration will be a time of praise and worship followed by a fellowship meal. We are blessed to have God’s faithful servant, Rev. Terrilyn Lemons, a retired Elder with the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church, preaching the morning message. Come share in the celebration!

Women’s Day Choir

Choir rehearsal for Women’s Day Worship Service will begin on Saturdays starting October 5th. We are inviting the women of Clifton to join in and lend their beautiful voices to the celebration. Please see Selma or Colden for additional information.

Bible Study

Upcoming Bible Study

Join us for September 24th at Noon and or 6 pm via Zoom. The book Context: Putting Scripture In Its Place by Josh Scott will be used to engage our research and discussion. The book has been nicely divided into 6-week sessions. However, we will take our time going through this book. We will end it when we finish it. The plan is to look at some familiar passages of scripture and the historical and cultural data to understand the context of the scripture. In so doing, we want to determine if the scriptures say what we think they are saying. The book is available in paperback and digital format. The church will order paperback copies from Cokesbury for those who request them. The cost is $16. Please use the sign-up sheet in the Narthex or contact the church office to let us know to order a book for you (deadline September 5th). However, you may order books directly through Cokesbury, Christianbook.com, or Amazon Prime, both paperback and digital.
