Clifton Family,

Thank you for blessing me with a retirement celebration. It was a beautiful evening with friends, good food, and music. Some of the songs were pretty interesting. I hope we didn’t break any copyright laws by rendering a tune in my honor using the music from “To God Be the Glory.” The gifts, cards, and notes shared brought smiles, laughter, and tears. The funds, gardening tools, and travel must-haves have all set my retirement off to a great start. To EVERYONE who helped to make the occasion such a beautiful affair, thank you!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

We offer our sincere condolences to the family of Janelle Holston, who passed on May 26th. Janelle is the wife of Edward Holston and the sister-in-law of Joyce McClendon. Please keep the Holston family in your prayers.

With sadness, we share the news of Larry Kent Smith's passing. Larry is the brother and brother-in-law of Charles and Sandra Smith. Please keep the Smith Family in your prayers.

The Men of Clifton will host a Fish Fry on Friday, June 5th, from 5 - 7 pm and Saturday, June 6th, from Noon to 5 pm.

The United Women in Faith will meet on Sunday, June 7th, after the worship service.

Men's Day will be held on Sunday, June 14th. The guest preacher will be Rev. Robert Ward.

The memorial service for Brenda Williams will be held on Friday, June 12th, at noon at Clifton United Methodist Church.

A Called Charge Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 6:30 pm. Rev. Dr. Michael McQueen will preside. Please plan to attend.

Finance and Church Council will meet briefly following today's worship service.
